Chaser : There are three
chasers in each team and their purpose is to score goals.
Seeker : There is only
one seeker in each team and he/she has to catch the golden snitch.
Keeper : The keeper
has to guard the goal posts.
Beater : Two beaters
have to play in a team. They have to keep the bludgers from hitting
the members of their team, and try to make these balls hit and
knock off the opposite team’s players.
Rules
The match starts with the whistle
of the referee. At that time, the fourteen players raise on their
brooms and start playing. Chasers try to score goals with the Quaffle,
which is worth 10 points. If a foul is committed, a penalty shot is
awarded to the fouled team. A Quidditch match doesn’t have a
time limit, and it is finished only when the seeker catches the snitch,
which gives 150 points to his team (so generally the team that catches
it is the winner).
